Benny smiled in delight as he considered this to be their very second date after that drinking night. Though this wasn't what most would consider as they had a point to their outing.

"What would you like?" He walked alongside her and took Teresa's hand to kiss it quickly. He didn't want to catch anyone's eyes. Today was about being invisible and just a nobody among the crowd. "I would say something practical but something it is so tempting to give you something that matches those eyes." He grinned and walked casually through the crowds as he eyed stalls, carts, windows. He wasn't sure what he was in the mood for or where would be the best place to start.

As he saw a snobby rich looking man push his way through the crowd to gather what looked like a family member being stubborn, he considered maybe robbing someone from under their nose would be easier and more satisfying.

Teresa grinned as Benny kissed her hand. The light of day had brought her spirits up quite a bit from her earlier nightmare, and now she kept Benny's hand in hers as they walked along. She blushed like a schoolgirl at his charming words and nudged his side teasingly, giving him a smile. She noticed his gaze locking on a rich man who looked like he had places to be and was in a hurry to get there and winked at him. "Browse," she told him, and then slipped away into the crowd of shoppers. It was a pleasant day out, and so this marketplace was full to the brim with customers of all walks of life. Making herself appear like any other shopper she 'meandered' over past the rich man and, with a deft sleight of hand gained from years of practice, stole his wallet from his pants pocket. She tapped him on the back and when he turned, she was already on his other side, slipping his silver pocketwatch into her jacket.

Finding Benny again amongst the crowd a few minutes later, she nodded her head at the man who was now patting his coat and frowning as if looking for something. "Have you seen the scarves over in the corner, yet?" she asked casually, and slipped the wallet into his hand, relaying her success through only that and the sparkle in her eye.

Benny had heard her suggestion to browse and didn't glance at her. He merely nodded and continued to window shop. He didn't look over or do anything that could bring her attention. He trusted completely that she knew what to do and that she would be alright. Having her return to his side did give him relief though. He felt her fingers brush against his, so he turned his hand and felt the heaviness of someone's wallet in it. He immediately put it into an inner jacket pocket out of sight.

"I think you're right. These scarves are really lovely. That red and gold one would really bring out your hair and eyes." He gestured towards it as he spoke aloud and smiled. He barely cast the rich man a glance and grinned seeing him suddenly missing something.

Teresa smiled up at Benny and wanted to kiss him, but refrained from doing so just yet. There wasn't an alley she could pull him into for some privacy nearby, but she knew they'd pass one soon enough. "You think so?" She tucked a lock of reddish-brown hair behind her ear and smiled coyly at him, letting her hand slip into the grip of his. It felt so natural, already, that it made her smile turn warm. As she passed the scarf shop, she paused, eyeing the wares, then glanced at Benny, telling him with her eyes to make a distraction.

Whatever he did, it worked, and she had the red and gold scarf in her inside pocket with the pocketwatch in an instant with no one the wiser. She grabbed Benny's hand again and tugged at him, acting like a lovesick young girl, pointing at something out at see with an innocent grin. She scanned the crowd briefly, then seeing no one's gaze on her, she drew Benny away, her grin fading into a smaller smile. As soon as they passed an empty alleyway, she tugged him inside and leaned against the wall, laughing softly. She drew the scarf out of her pocket and wrapped it around his neck to pull his lips against hers. "C'mere, you."

Holding her hand and looking at things like normal people was fun. He loved her fingers in his but he saw her look. Benny smiled more and let go of her hand before walking off to look at something else and accidentally knocked half of it to the floor. A series of apologies came spewing from his lips as he dropped to the floor to pick up the items. Of course everyone watched him and came to help, while making sure he didn't pocket anything.

As soon as everything was fixed, he thanked them and turned back to rejoin her, holding her hand. He looked at what she pointed out and led her away, acting like it was too embarrassing to shop after making such a scene. The moment they were away, he found himself pulled into the alley.

He was right, the color did match her nicely. With a laugh, his body pressed to hers to pin her to the wall and his lips came crashing upon hers. His fingers ran through her hair and he held the kiss, craving the taste of her lips and a hand ran down to rest on her hip.

"You can do just about anything, can't you?" He finally said, pulling from her lips to look into her eyes.

Teresa found herself pinned against the wall but didn't mind in the slightest. She held back a grin as she responded to the kiss, her arms slipping up the back of Benny's shirt, her cold hands tracing patterns on his skin. When he pulled back, her eyes were full of mischief and she laughed. "Just about," she agreed with a wink and gently pushed him back, stepping out from where she was against the wall. She kissed him a few more times before slipping the scarf back in her pocket (it would be foolish of her to wear it just after stealing it) and walking out of the alley, her hand taking Benny's again.

Benny gasped in the kiss at her chilly hands. Before they could be warmed, the kiss was over and he was pushed back. He shook his head and laughed looking at her as he followed her out of the alley. His hand immediately found hers and held it as they walked. "Where to now? Maybe jewelry?" It would be far harder to take anything from, but they were having quite a fun time. "Or did you want some lunch?"

"Hmm..." Teresa tilted her head back, considering, and bit the side of her lip as she thought. She swung her and Benny's held hands between their bodies, liking how they fit so well together. "Let's get you something this time." She glanced to him and winked. "See anything that suits your fancy?" She grinned. "Besides me, of course."

Benny laughed and leaned into her, nearly kissing her neck but just let his breath hit it as he spoke. "You took the words right out of my mouth." He looked around and shrugged. "I am not much for material things." He looked around curiously then saw something that took his attention. "Oh.." He nodded to her with his eyes and pointed out there was a brass spyglass on display. There was no way they could just take it and not be noticed, but it was the best thing he had seen.

Teresa looked where he did and grinned. It was a lovely spyglass, she had to admit, and if that's what Benny wanted, that's what she'd get him. She too realized it would not be as easy a theft as the last few, so she looked to him and winked. "Splendid," she said, "I like a challenge." She brought his hand up to her mouth and kissed it. "Stay out of sight, watch what I do," she said, and trusting he would do so, she slipped away into the crowd.

When she next emerged, the red and gold scarf was wrapped around her head, covering everything except her eyes. She looked like any other foreign tourist, and though there were few in Whitby this time of year, she went unnoticed, aided by her natural talent at seeming invisible. She walked up to the display and exchanged quick words with the owner of the stall. It took her a few minutes before she was able to garner some useful information from him and persuaded him, little by little, that his child had been hurt down by the school and she'd been sent to tell him. He, in a great hurry, left the stall in her care and rushed off.

Teresa actually managed to sell a few things while there for the next few minutes and left the money quite uncharacteristically in the man's money box, locking it up safe. She also found another spyglass, this one made of a much cheaper metal, and exchanged it for the bronze one in the display as if it was what she meant to do. Then she locked up, left the key hanging on the underside of the door handle where one would only find it if he (hopefully the stall owner) tried to turn the knob. She then sauntered off, having gathered where Benny was throughout her moments in the stall, and since they were both hidden from view by then, drew the spyglass from her inside pocket and slipped off the scarf in the same motion. She held it out to him, but pulled it back if he reached for it and leaned her head forward instead. "You owe me a kiss," she teased.
