"Thank you... I think?" He raised his glass to his mouth but realized it was empty. He put it down. "Do you have a wife?"

Anthony nodded in response to his 'thank you', and shook his head 'no' in response to the question. "Nah. And I don't want one either."

"You're smart!" said Tobias.

No, he was just gay. "Maybe so," Anthony said, smiling at the 'compliment', if it could be called that.

Tobias played with his glass. "Don't you want kids?"

Anthony tilted his head, as if thinking. "Hmm. No." Mostly because he would sooner die than ever procreate with some woman.

"Oh... I want a family." But he also kind of didn't. And now he was unhappy. And now he pitied himself. He put the side of his head down on the table again, and looked at Anthony.

Anthony looked at Tobias. Why was he doing that? "Oh. Well," he wasn't sure what to say. "I'm sure everything will work out?" He awkwardly patted his head again.

"Aye... Once the bairn is born, maybe..." he closed his eyes. This was pretty comfortable. Everything started spinning.

"Uh-uh," Anthony just nodded, because there was nothing else for him to do. He moved his hand from Tobias' head to his neck. He wanted to pull his hand  away but was paranoid about it being rude and so he  didn't do it.
