Huh? "Oh...." He put his hand back. "Do you.... like men?"

Anthony smiled when he put his hand back, though that smile faded for a moment when Tobias asked that question. Huh? Was he...? ...Nah. He was just interpreting it wrong. "Well. Yeah."

"I sometimes like 'em too." said Tobias. Just the ordinary information you shared with strangers in the pub in the Victorian era, ye know.

Anthony nodded awkwardly. Was this guy hitting on him or something? "Well, ain't that neat..."

"Aye..." He just sat there with his hand on the guy's leg. He didn't really know what to do, because a. he was drunk, and b. his schooldays were far far behind him.

"Yeah. Right." Anthony's brain was just completely blank at this point. What the hell does one even do in this situation? "So..." he trailed off, and didn't finish the sentence.

Tobias looked down at his hand, and then up at the man's face. "Is this okay?"

"Yeah, it's fine," Anthony nodded. He meant it, but he was just so incredibly awkward that it probably seemed like it wasn't. He felt the need to emphasize the 'it's fine' part more. "it's fine."

"Okay...." Wow. Even drunk Tobias was an awkward man. He kept his hand there.

The barmaid was leaning on the bar, watching them and frowning.

"Yeah," he nodded awkwardly yet again. He was basically just waiting for Tobias to make another move, because Anthony sure as hell wasn't gonna be the one to do it. He stared at him in quiet.
