Tobias raised his head. He hadn't even been aware of Anthony's hand. "There's a new constable?!"

Well, duh.

Anthony pulled his hand away. "Well.....yeah....?" It seemed obvious to him. Did Tobias think that they were all just living in anarchy here, now?

"Good. I'll go see him tomorrow."

He'd be hungover tomorrow.

Anthony nodded. "Right. That's probably a smart thing to do." He tried to take a sip out of his glass again, before he realized that it was empty. Dejectedly, he put it down again.

There was still some in Tobias' glass and he drank it. "This town is horrible." And the people in it.

"Can't argue with that," Anthony said, and just patted Tobias' head again. He did that before and he didn't protest, so he figured that it was a perfectly acceptable and fine thing to do.

Tobias was too drunk to think it was weird. "Never tried to move?" he asked.

That suited Anthony just fine. "Well, I don't have the money to. And I like it here. Even if it's terrible."

"Oh..." That made no sense at all. "I would move."

It absolutely did make sense. "Well, I wouldn't." He was getting bored. He patted Tobias' head again. "Your hair is soft."
