James stopped wailing and sat there, watching her go. "Well, I think you write bad poetry!" he shouted after her.

Saoirse really, really didn't care. She just kept walking, ignoring whatever the kid said.

That did not have the intended effect. He got up and walked after her.

...Saoirse started walking faster.

James ran.

Saoirse just kept walking, pretending that he wasn't there.

James continued to follow, wondering where she was going.

Saoirse didn't have a destination in mind, she was just wandering randomly, waiting for the boy to leave. She kept walking, picking up the pace.

James ran after the woman, but then he saw Mr. Ward, and finally left Saoirse, to bully him instead.

Saoirse felt such incredible relief, when he finally left her. She tried to get away as fast as possible, as to not give him a chance to get back to her.
