She lay down when the time came, scooting herself back against him. "Oh, Charles," she sighed, dozing after that but not quite asleep.

It had been late in the day when she'd asked him to stop so there was no point in trying to cover more ground. So with little else to do, Charles wrapped an arm around her snuggled in and decided to drift off to sleep as well as he enjoyed her proximity.

She woke before the morning light came. Her legs were tangled with his and she gave a soft smile. They would be wed soon, she thought and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Charles," she sang softly, her fingers caressing the side of his face. "We should eat and get on the road, shouldn't we? Or are we not that far from where we need to be?"

"Hrmm well, we would have arrived in town by sunrise," Charles said before he opened his eyes. "So, we are not so far we could be there in perhaps another two or three hours travel."

"Then perhaps we can stay here for a little while longer," she murmured and snuggled up to him. It was a chilly morning and she was al too happy to steal some of his body heat under the blankets.

"Well, I will not complain about spending more time entangled in the embrace of my wife-to-be." Charles murmured back to her lightly as he leaned in to kiss the top of her head while she burrowed deeper under the covers.

"I am ready to be your wife," she said with a grin and wiggled until she was just so against him. "Mmm, you're warm and I am cold." She wrapped her arm about his waist and sighed. "Mmm."

"Not that cold," Charles responded with a chuckle. Her hands were a bit chilly but the rest of her was warm from being under the blanket with him for the entire night. He wrapped his arms around her and let her snuggle back in. "And I am looking forward to being your husband. And to putting on some shows as a team." They'd practiced the act a few times on the trip but they would have to get into in earnest as his coin was starting to run thin.

Charles let the fingers of his hands roam up and down her thighs as she curled around him. "Yes, on the stage and..." His hand gave her pert rump a soft squeeze. "Off it, I can't imagine anything finer than making magic with you my sweet Penny."
