RE: I Believe This Is Yours - Pearl Blacke - 02-16-2021

"I am glad to hear it," she said. She felt a bit of excitement filling her at this new development. He would be over for supper tomorrow, and he would be in her house, and... Oh yes, she needed to tell him where she lived because he probably assumed she lived at the mansion with her family. There too was the need to figure out what to cook for him. "I look forward to it," she said softly.

She told him her address, then she reached out again and touched his arm because she couldn't seem to help herself. They had been standing there for at least fifteen minutes talking. It seemed longer in a good way. "I know you are working, so I had better let you get back to it before I get you in trouble."

Joe felt her touch and saw her gaze. He smiled broadly. He was a lucky chap.

"Aye, that's probably best. I'll see you tomorrow then."

He gave her a last glimpse before taking a step back.

"A pleasant day to you, Miss." He nodded deeply in lieu of raising his non-existent cap.
