RE: Exploring the Town - Tristan Wells - 02-01-2021

Tristan looked at him awkwardly as he agreed but didn't move. "Can you remove your jacket and shirt please?"

"Oh. Right. Sorry." And so he went to work on fiddling with his jacket and shirt until they were off. He felt deeplt awkward and uncomfortable, sitting there like that, and so immediately averted his gaze and started making intense eye contact with the floor.

Tristan was aware of the awkwardness. Many patients felt that way. But he was used to it and just set about examining the man. He looked for any visible injuries and then put light pressure on where he knew the kidneys and liver were and on other places, to see if the man showed any signs of pain.

Anthony was so very touch-starved that he was damn near about to go insane over this one completely mundane thing. Hence the uncomfortableness. He kept staring deeply at the floor, and then winced in some pretty deep pain as the man put some pressure on places Anthony assumed shouldn't have pressure on. Ow. He was about to get mad, before he realized that this was probably part of the examination thing.

"That hurt?" he asked, when he saw the man wince. He took his stethoscope and put resonator against several parts of Anthony's belly, chest and back, frowning in concentration as he listened for anything unusual. "Can you cough, please?"

"Well, yeah," Anthony said. The 'duh' was omitted, but from the tone of his voice one could obviously tell it was meant to be there. He frowned as the man...did whatever he was doing. This was getting a bit strange. Is all doctor-y stuff like this? Nevertheless, Anthony obliged and coughed. Ouch.

Tristan ignored the attitude. He put down his stethoscope. "All sounds normal, but I'd prefer to keep an eye on your left kidney and your liver." He just wasn't sure if the liver had suffered from whatever had caused this man's injuries or from more long-term habits. "You can put your clothes back on. I'll have a look at your face." He walked over to a cupboard and took a clean cloth and some rinsing solution.

So, what he gathered from that was that he was okay but not really. How lovely. "Well, okay then..." he nodded slowly, as he put his shirt back on. Seems like the most uncomfortable part was over. Anthony brushed some stray hairs away from his face.

Tristan returned with a wet cloth. "This may hurt a little," he said, and he began cleaning the man's face carefully, brushing the dried blood away. He couldn't see if there were any cuts if there was all that blood and dirt on his face.

He nodded and 'mhm'ed, right before the fellow started cleaning up his face. It stung a bit, but Anthony was revelling in all the attention. He was actually kind of liking this, even when putting aside the whole attention thing. He felt a bit of deja vu, but it passed quickly.
