RE: This Town Isn't What It Used to Be - Tobias Appleton - 12-14-2020

Tobias tried, but had to keep his hand on the wall, for he was unstable. This was going to be awkward. "Do ye mind if I... lean on ye... Terribly sorry."

Anthony did mind, just a little bit, but it didn't really matter. If it helps him, then he'll put up with it for a little. "Not at all. Do as you will." He sighed, very quietly.

Well, this was awkward. Tobias reached out, leaned an arm on the man's shoulder and let go of the wall. "Sorry..." he muttered.

He could have just died.

Anthony almost lost his footing for a moment, but regained it near immediately. He was not bright enough to have realized that, yeah, that was probably gonna happen. "It's fine," Anthony said, patting his arm awkwardly for a moment, as if to try and reassure him. "you good? Can we go now or do you need a moment or something?"

"No... It's okay. We can go." He wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible. He began to walk slowly. "Thank you."

Anthony nodded, and started to walk as well as he could with a much larger man leaning against him. "Right. No problem at all." Anthony was very unsure of if there was anything else for him to do. He felt very awkward with his arms just hanging there, and so he just...wrapped an arm around the man's thorax to try and support him better. It's not weird as long as he doesn't make it weird.

Tobias did not protest. He needed all the support he could get right now. The movement hurt, although it felt like most of his injuries were superficial ones that would heal in a few days. He didn't really know what to say and needed all his energy to walk, and so he was quiet, safe for the occasional heave.

The fellow didn't seem against it, which reassured Anthony quite a bit and made the whole experience much less awkward for him. "Everything alright?" Anthony asked, having felt like he should have been saying something.

"Aye..." Tobias sighed as he walked. Suddenly he stopped, for he had to catch his breath. "I'm..." he took another deep breath. "I'm terribly sorry for inconveniencing you."

Anthony shook his head, and lightly patted his back. "Don't worry about it," he said, sighing a bit. "it's no inconvenience to me at all, really." Though he would still be very pleased to get this done and over with quickly.
