"I'm tired..." Tobias muttered into the table.

Anthony shook his head, 'tsk tsk tsk'ed and kept his hand on his head. "Oh, of course you are, you little baby," Anthony said, his voice much like the one people make when talking to small children and pets.

Tobias frowned and raised his head, looking at Anthony. Or sort of in Anthony's direction. "I'm not a baby..."

Anthony giggled. "Of course you aren't," he said, cupping Tobias' face in his hands.

This was kind of weird. Right? Right? "Why?"

RE: This Town Isn't What It Used to Be - Anthony Rowe - 12-16-2020

Anthony was beyond the point of caring about things being 'weird'. And also beyond the point of realizing things are weird. "Why what?"

RE: This Town Isn't What It Used to Be - Tobias Appleton - 12-16-2020

"I dunno..." he said. Then he began to laugh.

Anthony blinked. He stayed quiet for a few moments, staring at Tobias. "Okay," he eventually shrugged, and started to laugh once again as well.

The barmaid came over and put down two glasses of water in front of them. "There, best sober up ye two." She gave them a weird look before walking away.

"Thank you!" Tobias called after her.

Anthony didn't say anything to the barmaid, just kind of stared until she left. He didn't really want to drink the water, but he felt obligated to. So he drank from his glass. "This sucks," he complained, his mood having switched very quickly. He was starting to feel a bit sick already, but instead of realising that it was probably from the copious amounts of alcohol he drank, chose to blame it on the water.
