She handed the bag over cheerfully, "Thank you, kindly." Her smile was bright as she nodded to both of the fellows, then moved to stand closer to Quentin who was the only one that actually held her interest in the way Gareth Scott was thinking. She did not say anything to indicate that, however. She said, "I'm ready." She was blissfully unaware of what that toad sucking slimeball was thinking about, and she was far too busy being nice to people than to pay attention to any petulance of his that might exude from his pores like puss from a blemish. She ignored him for the most part.

Had Quentin been aware of exactly how loathsome Mister Scott was he would have sent the other man packing already. As it was they are all loaded up into the carriage and they trundle down the road towards a spot that Quentin had marked on the map. Once they were there they would have to get out and hike and explore for a bit to find what the map was leading them to and after that they could set camp.

Gareth quickly drank some of the cold milk he had brought before entering the carriage. He was quiet and stared out of the window, as they traveled, and he tried not to feel nauseous.

She made sure to keep to the opposite side of cab as Gareth was since she knew what happened last time he was in there. He'd barely had time to get out and get sick. Her attention turned to Quentin and she tilted her head, "Is this something you do often? Cave diving?"

"No often, but I've done it in the past. There are some rather interesting sights below the earth you won't see anywhere else. But it is also, extremely, dangerous. This is why we are bringing more people." As with anything that was dangerous, more peoples and proper safety precautions were what would ensure survival.

Gareth sat quietly, focusing his eyes on one spot in the distance and trying not to listen to the conversation.

She had most certainly never been in a cave before, so this was an interesting development in her opinion. As Mister Scott seemed to shrink into himself in the opposite corner of the cab, she seemed to open up a little more. "There can't be an adventure without something to be wary of," she murmured.

"No, there cannot. Although, in general, there can't be an adventure until after its over." He says with a slight glance towards the sullen Gareth. A moment's pause and then Quentin can't resist. "Since it is only an adventure if you survive. Otherwise, it is a tragedy."

That drew a disturbed glance from Gareth.

She bit her lip to keep from laughing out loud at that reaction. Claire managed to keep a neutral expression. Then she turned her attention back to Quentin and murmured, "That would be a tragedy for sure if something were to happen to one of us. But I trust that we will be just fine."
