Gareth moved closer. "I brought as flask," he said, and he took his drinking flask out of his bag and rinsed the site underneath the rock.

She watched as the clue was further revealed and frowned in concentration, adjusting her glasses so she could make the clue out better.

Rinsing the bottom of the stone reveals a frame of musical notes, underneath which read the words under the loose floorboard under the bed in room three. Quentin frowns at the notes not recognizing them or the tune, he looks to his companions. If either had musical training they could piece together that the song on the back was a pirate's shanty, there was an inn in town that shared the name.

Gareth had never taken an interest in music and as he bent over to look at the words, he blinked perplexed. "What room three?" he muttered.

She took a closer look and then hummed the tune out loud. She'd definitely had training in music as a young lady of good breeding in New Orleans. It perplexed her as well, she did not recognize the tune, only the notes/.

"What would you do with a drunken sailor?" Quentin says with an arched brow as she whistles. Hopefully, Mister Scott would know about the popular inn, The Drunken Sailor which was near the docks, not too far from the bar that this little adventure had started in.

As soon as Gareth heard the tune he gasped. "That's an inn. It's near the docks. That must be where the room is. This way." And he began to lead them in the direction of the pub.

She was glad she had the ability to hum the notes even if she didn't recognize the ditty. "Lead the way," she said redundantly and followed after Gareth. This treasure hunt was starting to get kind of exciting!

"Good job you two," Quentin says beaming at both of them, quite pleased by this bit of teamwork. It appeared as though he had assembled an excellent team for this endeavour so far. "Lead the way Mister Scott." He says as he lets the younger man lead the way downtown to the inn and question. It was in decent repair. It was one of those places that survived more due to tradition and location than due to quality of service.

Entering the establishment it doesn't take him long to purchase the room in question for the night, easier than explaining why they needed access, and they head inside. "Alright." Quentin says as the three enter the small chamber. "There is a small chance they moved the bed, so check the floors while I do that." He says as he gets to work shifting the small rope bed out of the corner.

Gareth was uncomfortably aware of how weird it had to look for three people to hire a room together. He didn't like looking unusual. Yet he tried to put that off his mind. He had started believing that there might actually be a treasure at the end of this search, and he was eager to find it.

Coming to think of it. He would definitely need to talk to Quentin about the terms. He hadn't considered it necessary to go to details before, because he hadn't thought there was actual treasure involved. He had solely joined to be able to report on two idiots on a wild goose chase, and give his audience something to laugh at.

Once they were in the room, he started scanning the floor, his mind plotting.
