Them. Gabriel felt even more uncomfortable. He got up, because he had to move. "I don't think you're disgusting.... Just... I don't know what I do think." He thought he really wanted to go home and lock himself up, and probably had a good drink.

RE: The Cavemen - Anthony Rowe - 05-24-2020

Anthony didn't know why he was even doing this. What possessed him that made him talk about this extremely personal thing with a stranger? Nevermind. No going back, now. "Fine. Keep on not knowing, then," he said, before finally going quiet. This conversation was tiring — he didn't know why he kept participating in it.

Gabriel didn't know what to say to that and so he checked his shoes and socks again. Still wet. He realized they wouldn't dry in here. He started walking up and down the cave - slowly, because he didn't want to hurt his already hurting feet - in an attempt to stay warm.

Anthony hugged himself to try and keep warm, though it was barely even working. He was watching the sea impatiently, just waiting for it to calm down so that they can both go their own ways. After some time of waiting, he retreated back against the wall of the cave again, and just sat down and tried to fall asleep. He sure wasn't going to try and wait another few hours while conscious.

Time did pass, though very slowly for Gabriel, who was miserable. For some reason miserable time always went slower. But at last: "Tide's going out," he commented.

Anthony opened one eye as the other man spoke. "Oh. Fun," he replied, stretching a bit before finally getting up as well. He then went to look if the tide was actually going out, or if the guy was just lying to him. Sure enough, he was being honest. That was good.

Gabriel sat down, and put on his sock, pulling a displeased face, because his already cold feet felt even colder now. But he wanted to be able to leave as soon as the water was out completely.

Anthony looked at Gabriel, and laughed at his misfortune. "Just go barefoot if that's so bad," he said, referring to the man's obvious displeasure. He looked away and back at the water, crossing his arms as he just kept waiting for the tide to go out.

Gabriel liked to think of himself as humble and simple. But he was too self conscious to go into town barefoot. He decided to stay quiet and he watched the water.

"Or don't," Anthony broke the silence, and shrugged. "no skin off my back, either way." And back to the waiting. Ugh, the waiting.
