In the late afternoon, there was a knock on Elijah Crane's home. Bram stood in front of the door, beaming, with a cotton bag with his sleep things in it. So much for announcing when he was coming to stay over.

Elijah had left for work, and so Anthony was resigned to being bored and alone and kind of miserable. Until he heard a knock on the door, that is, for then he was just extremely confused. Anthony went, rather reluctantly, to open the door and see who's there, only to be greeted by the sight of some...kid. What the hell.
Anthony blinked.
"Who the hell are you?"

Bram stepped back when it was not Elijah but a strange man who opened. "Are you a burglar?"
