RE: Strange thing, mystifying - Anthony Rowe - 01-20-2020

"Noble of you, I guess. But yeah, you have a point," Anthony said. He himself was prone to judging people and situations even without all the facts, but it's helped him survive this long so he isn't exactly planning on giving up on that, even if his morals may one day evolve and start telling him otherwise. However, as soon as Elijah mentioned his cat again Anthony's attention was turned to that. "Yes!" he said perhaps a bit too eagerly.

Elijah shrugged. "I've been on the other side of being judged harshly without good reason. I guess it's easy to empathize when you know both sides. " He smiled and stood looking happy to show off his precious pet. He looked far more cheerful as the focus was now moving towards it and he was eager to leave, walking in the cold evening towards his home. He had lost all worry about the mysterious man he was walking with stabbing or robbing him.

And now Anthony is off to some random guy's home to go look at his cat. What an incredible lack of trust issues he has. Despite his usual skepticism, the euphoria of possibly getting to even perhaps pet a cat much overwhelmed his anxiety. Anthony followed after Elijah, basically having to speedwalk in order to keep up with him—one of the downsides of being a manlet. But holy shit he was going to see his CAT and that was awesome and maybe his enthusiasm was because of him being a bit too tipsy for his own good but holy shit cats.

Elijah could feel the enthusiasm in his brisk walk as he mirrored it. He had a foolish grin as he was able to show off his cat like she was a treasure. "She is a calico, have you seen those before?" He asked to the man as they walked since it was a few blocks and he didn't care to walk in total silence the entire way.

Oh he can not fucking wait to see this cat. Trust it to Anthony to get drunk off one glass and then be overly excited about cats. Anthony looked up at Elijah with such wonder in his eyes as he said that his cat's a calico, as if this was the first time in his life he had ever even heard of calico cats. "Yes!" Anthony declared, taking this as an invitation to try and describe a calico cat. "they're....white...and orange...and black. And they have an attitude." Anthony almost looked a bit mad as he said that last part but it faded quickly.

Elijah grinned huge and nodded quickly. "That's right! Her entire belly and feet are white but the rest of her is mostly orange and black, cept a bit on her chin and around her eyes. "He gestured a bit to explain but it didn't matter. They were going to see her soon. "She does have quite a.. a feeling of superiority. It's very cute." He beamed so proud to speak of his cat. "She doesn't mind strangers so as long as you are not too loud or anything, she'll be happy to meet you.'

Elijah's cat sounds wonderful. Anthony has not felt this happy in days—admittedly, it wasn't hard for him to feel like that, as he has been pretty depressed and always on the verge of a breakdown the past few days. But holy shit he was going to see a cat and the cat sounded cute as fuck. "Oh my god, she sounds amazing..." the end of Anthony's sentence trailed off, but he had made his point.

"She is! I don't know what I'd do without her." Elijah was actually getting giddy about it. He pointed up ahead towards a house that was not different in any noticeable way from the others around it. "There it is." He hurried ahead, almost with a skip in his step before he opened the door. As if knowing it was her time to shine, there was a small meow as his cat was sitting on the back of his sofa demanding her dinner. "Ah, she wants food. Why don't you say hello while I get it." He hummed so happy to show her off as he headed towards the kitchen.

Anthony stepped inside Elijah's house with great enthusiasm, gasping out loud as he heard the meow from his cat. Acknowledging what Elijah said with a brief nod, Anthony walked towards the sofa, trying his best not to scare the cat or anything, looking at hed with such unadulterated wonder in his eyes. His hand hovered above the cat's head to let her figure him out and sniff him before he tries to pet her or something, because he's polite like that. "Oh, hello..........you're such a pretty kitty.......who's a pretty kitty......." Anthony fawned over her.

Diane stared up at the new comer like he was crazy but she sniffed at his hand. He seemed to gain her approval as she headbutted his hand so that he could pet her though she turned her head as soon as she heard noises from the kitchen to show her food was being prepared. She didn't leave just yet though to enjoy the attention she clearly deserved, the fluffy cat flicking her long tail as she waited patiently. Her green eyes stared up at the newcomer as he spoke to her it seemed cheerful enough for the cat to decide she was alright with his presence.
