RE: Strange thing, mystifying - Anthony Rowe - 01-28-2020

Though he was a bit disappointed by not getting to cuddle with anyone for the time being, there was no denying, though, that Anthony was actually hungry, so he just powered through it. He waited patiently for Elijah to make dinner, humming to himself and picking at the skin around his fingernails as he did, totally unaware of anything going through Elijah's head right now. Whether for better or for worse.

Soon, Elijah returned with their dinner. "Sorry it isn'tmuch. I'll plan something better for tomorrow." He put it at the table and sat smiling as he waited for him.

"Don't worry about it at all," Anthony said, sitting down at the table and starting to eat his dinner. To be quite fair, most every meal Elijah could make would seem like a feast to him—considering he was used to eating barely edible food, if any food at all. "hope you don't feel like you have to plan something grand for me. Because I am seriously fine with even this." Maybe the constant reassuring got a bit annoying after a while, but Anthony wanted to be sure they understood eachother.

Elijah blushed and looked down as he ate. "I know but.. I like to impress you when I can. Having you really happy makes me really happy."

"Oh. Well," Anthony grinned like a fool, not speaking for a moment so that he could eat. "I don't mind you wanting to impress me or make me happy. At all." Anthony was about to say more but decided against it, figuring he would just be repeating himself at this point.

Elijah grinned at him as he smiled back. "Good. I'm glad you let me spoil you a little. You have given me something no amount of food or items could."

"You flatter me," Anthony said, definitely trying to make it seem as if he's not as affected by what Elijah said as he really was. "you'll need to let me spoil you sometime, then, as well. It's not fair otherwise." Anthony looked up at Elijah, raising his eyebrows.

Elijah looked down then back up. "Sure.. you can always do anything you like if you think it'll make me happy. I certainly am happy to explore our time together and figure out how to keep us happy together."

"Well, I'm sure making you happy and pleased can wait until after dinner," Anthony eventually decided. "though I certainly already have a lot of ideas on things to do, then." He genuinely wanted to make Elijah happy, and though he didn't know what it was that would make him so  he was willing to try a whole lot of things to find out.

Elijah looked at him curiously as he ate and grinned, tilting his head. "oh? I admit you have me.. curious. I can't wait." He sipped his tea and felt joy even at the suspense.
