RE: Strange thing, mystifying - Anthony Rowe - 01-27-2020

Anthony sat up when Elijah returned, accepting the tray and placing it on his lap for a moment. "Thank you, my dear," he said, winking right back at Elijah, and being very aware of the fact that he's running out of petnames. Oh well.

Elijah nodded, "you're welcome, my..." He seemed clearly in thought then brightened up and grinned. "My sun, stars, moon, and shimmering sea." He laughed lightly and kissed his cheek before going back to the kitchen to eat his own dinner as he could be faster if he didn't try to sit with Anthony and balance it on his lap.

Okay, that was a good one. Anthony blushed slightly at that and the kiss, absolutely cherishing this attention and love he was getting now. Perhaps begrudgingly, Anthony let Elijah go back to the kitchen, and turned his attention to the breakfast instead it so he can...eat it. How did he of all people seriously get this lucky?

Elijah focused on his own meal and then started to wash dishes. He didn't take long before checking in on Anthony,. "Everything alight?" he mostly wanted to pick up the dirty dishes if they were no longer needed.

Anthony had finished eating and was about to get dressed and put the dirty dishes away when Elijah checked in on him again. "Of course," he nodded, flashing a brief smile as if to confirm that everything was fine.

"Wonderful. "Elijah took his dishes and cheerfully went to wash them up. For the first time in his life, he really didn't want to go to work, but he had just taken a day off. He had to remember his promise that his job would come first.

Anthony nodded gratefully as Elijah took the dishes, waiting for him to leave before he decided to wash up and get dressed, despite how much he wanted to just stay in bed for the entire day. "It really is," he said, mostly to himself as he knew Elijah wouldn't be able to hear him anyways. After he had finished getting ready for the day, Anthony left Elijah's room, immediately making a beeline for Diane so that he can pet her. Priorities.

Diane purred as she was a glutton for attention. The cat flicked her tail and leaned in to be pet. Elijah grinned and started to put on his jacket and gloves. "One great thing is you keeping her company. Thanks. Have a good day. "He smiled and wanted to promise to be home early but he didn't like making promises he couldn't guarantee to keep.

Anthony pet the cat delicately and gently, as if this were a matter of utmost importance. He glanced at Elijah as the latter spoke again, and nodded to acknowledge what he said. "You too, Elijah," he said. "see you soon." Anthony had briefly forgotten that Elijah actually had to go to...work and all that, which disappointed him for a moment. But, trying to be optimistic, Anthony figured that...he'll be happier to see Elijah in the evening if he hasn't seen him all day, yeah? Anthony had a lot of thoughts running through his head about what they could do today or someday.

Diane purred and rolled onto her side to be pet and seemed rather relaxed. Elijah was gone until his average time to return home. A day had rarely felt so long and so difficult to get through even though little had happened. He nearly ran home he was so excited to return.
