Simon giggled. "Oh? What sort of person could you see me with that wouldn't have your approval?" To be fair, he could see it. Elijah so desperate for someone he overlooked all of their misdeeds and bad habits.

Elijah smiled more. "I appreciate you looking out for me. Let's hope if I ever fall for someone, he isn't like that."

He couldn't help but laugh. "Please, no violence. There is far too much of it. I think you can just convince me not to stay with someone like that."

Elijah smiled and saw the home just up ahead. "I'm grateful you care so much for my happiness. Does that mean I am allowed to judge your love too? He sounds fantastic, but I wouldn't mind making sure he was treating you as well as he seems to."
