"I'm about to get back to work. Just, don't go overboard and get back to my place. You said you'd take it easy remember?" He looked at Simon hoping he would keep his word. "Don't get too much to drink, you need that money after all.."

At least Elijah didn't tell him off. Simon nodded. And when he arrived at the shop, he turned around and walked away. At the end of the street, he turned, walked back, and bought a bottle of beer. Then he went back to Elijah's place.

The sun was starting to dip down to touch the horizon when Elijah returned home. He opened the door and glanced inside. "Simon? You still here? I can make dinner if you're hungry." He called out, hoping Simon hadn't left.

Simon was sitting on the sofa, but got up when Elijah entered. "Course I'mm still here, Elijah. I told ye, I'm leavin' tomorrow. Owt I can help ye with?"

"Sorry I guess I thought you might have wanted to go out for a walk. Or meet with someone." He didn't want to admit who, it was best to be left open ended. Elijah smiled and started towards the kitchen to make their dinner. "I suppose it has been quiet here?"

RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-20-2020

"Oh... no, I've made my arrangements." It was probably a good thing that he didn't catch Elijah's meaning. "Aye, 't was quiet, but I guess that's good. How was work?"

RE: Running out of time - Elijah Crane - 01-20-2020

He felt relaxed to know that Simon seemed to have everything planned out. "It was quiet. So I can't complain."

RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-20-2020

"That's good... Let me help you with som't..."

RE: Running out of time - Elijah Crane - 01-20-2020

Elijah lightly placed his hands on Simon's shoulders. "You can help me by taking it easy, alright? I don't mind doing things alone, I do it all the time. I want you to relax."

RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-20-2020

Relaxing meant having nothing to do, that that strange uneasiness creeping up on him again, but Simon nodded and sat down, staring into the fireplace.
