Elijah nodded. "A new place where no one knows you. You can start over and make yourself who you want to be." He sighed closing his eyes trying to ignore how much he drank feeling a bit ashamed. "I'm sure you will. You're a good guy, Simon. I believe you'll be doing alright. Just take your time, you don't need to impress anyone and it is a bigger, busier place than here so it might take some getting used to."

Simon nodded. Then he smiled and gave Elijah a gentle push to the shoulder. "Don't worry about me, Elijah. When you come, you'll envy me for the life I've build up."

Elijah looked to him and laughed lightly. "Maybe. If that happens, I'll just have to find more excuses to visit so I can enjoy the luxury."

"Hey, always welcome!" Simon laughed. He poured the last bit of the drink in his glass and downed it. Oh. He had drank quite a lot. But he felt better, and the pain was less. Instead, he felt a wonderful drowsiness.

Elijah nodded and when he opened his eyes, he noticed the bottle was empty. "Oh, it's gone. But I think we're both happier."He craned his head to the side to look at Simon. "Right? You good to sleep now?" He started to shift to lean forward so he could get to his feet and go back to his room.

Simon nodded slowly. "Thanks, Elijah, for all. I hope you're not too drunk," he added with a smirk.

Elijah stood a bit unsteady and grinned at him. He pinched his fingers together, "Just a little. You get some good sleep and this'll be our little secret." He pressed a finger to his lips and made a soft 'shhh' before he started towards his room. "Goodnight, Simon."

Simon laughed at the little scene, but he got up, just in case Elijah tripped over, and he kept watching, to make sure he didn't miss the bed.

Elijah leaned heavily against the wall for balance as he walked towards the bedroom and then collapsed on the bed with just his legs hanging off. His head was buried into the bed cover, looking quite content to sleep like that.

Simon shook his head. He lifted Elijah's legs up on the bed and covered him with whatever part of the cover he was not sleeping on. "Night, Elijah." he said. Then he walked over to the sofa, lay down and almost instantly drifted off to sleep.
