RE: I'm a monster - James Longbottom - 05-17-2020

James pointed at some buns from the baker's stall. "This.... Then he pointed at a fish. "And this." And back to the bakery. "And this. And that and that.... and that... and that...." He looked around.

Saoirse should've expected this. "Let's limit it to...two things, okay?"

"But I'm hungry." The boy whined, even though he would never to be able to eat as much.

"I get that, but I don't have the money to buy you absolutely everything," she explained. "so, two things or nothing."

James pouted, but finally agreed. "Okay..." He looked around, and finally settled for a pie and bun.

Saoirse was glad he didn't argue further. She went to the baker's stall to buy the things the kid pointed out.

After she had done so, she turned to the kid, while also trying to hold both things at the same time. "So. You want to go back, now?"

James nodded, his eyes on the food, as focused as a cat watches prey.

RE: I'm a monster - Saoirse O'Connell - 05-17-2020

Saoirse nodded as well, and began to walk kind of aimlessly, because she did not remember for the life of her how to get back to the kid's little hideout.

"This way," James said, and he began to lead her back, turning his head very often to make sure that she (and more importantly, the food) was still there. When they reached the alley, he once again climbed through the window.

Saoirse was very relieved at him starting to lead her back. She just followed after him in silence. When they had finally reached where they were before, she stood for a moment in silence as she tried to figure out how to get in there. Eventually, she just leaned in through the window and placed down the food, and then went in herself, and picked up the food again.
