Tea and sandwiches [Streets, Yards, and Homes] - Alexandra McPadraic - 10-01-2019

When was the witch going to stop with her games?... Probably never, but at the very least it was sort of great that she was too busy hosting to try and set Alexandra up with one of the sons of some rich man she had no doubt invited to this lunch.

Instead Alex had moved herself to a bench at the edge of the party area and spent her time people watching and daydreaming (not at all avoiding the social event). She had barely noticed the company at first, but once she had Alex gave an appropriate gentle smile in case it was a trap of the witches making. “Can I help you Mr Carrington?”

Darius had been reminded to dress nice. He was told to tie back his hair. He had to not look shabby and embarrass his family. The Carrington son was quiet and polite until he found an out. He sat beside the woman and looked off inro the sky.

"Just avoiding the 'fun'. Thought you might be doing the same. If anyone asks, I'll say we were chatting."

"I'm surprised they made you come at all" she replied, hoping that this chatting didn't lead to any rumours or ideas forming in her stepmothers, or even her fathers, mind. Either way, it was nice to have company of someone who enjoy the parties as much as she did.

Darius rubbed his arms, "To show I'm still well and breathing I assume." He laughed softly. "But these sort of parties make me think one day I should play dead."

“Let me know if that plan works” she chuckled lightly, leaning back slightly. “And I’ll give it a go for the next social event I’m forced to make an appearance at.”
