Elijah sighed. "Then rest any time you are not on the boat and save your strength. Perhaps you should consider doing more.. shore work. " He really didn't know what he was saying, but he wasn't wanting something to happen to Ben. If he got hurt or heaven forbid, lost at sea due to his failing health, it would destroy everyone.

Elijah merely nodded. He did feel bad that his sons were always going to be guilted if not forced into following his footsteps for the family's sake.

They walked on rather slowly, until they reached the entrance to the yard. Involuntary, Ben leaned against the wall. "Thank you, Elijah. "

"I'm alright. " said Ben. But he felt nauseous and light in the head and didn't move.

Elijah's eyes widened as Ben seemed to not be focused and quickly held onto him to keep him steady. "Ben? Ben? Do I need to take you to the doctor?"

Elijah was close enough to catch him. "Damn your pride! It won't help you of you keep going downhill. I am taking you to a doctor right this moment. I will not let you say otherwise." He frowned trying to help him up to lead him away.

Ben leaned on Elijah. He was heavy a strong man and heavy, and it was probably a big burdain for frail Elijah. "I am not taking food out of my children's mouths just because I am a bit under the weather.Take me inside, Elijah."
