RE: The Wedding - Elijah Crane - 05-15-2020 Elijah smiled weakly. "I am sure he would love for you all to come and visit your sister, but again she will be busy right now. Perhaps if everyone agrees, I will try to save up money and help you all get tickets to visit her after the baby is born. I know she will miss you all. But it would only be if you promised to be kind and not cause trouble for her or her husband." RE: The Wedding - Abraham Ward - 05-15-2020 "I want her to stay home..." Bram suddenly said with a frown. "Even if she is mean sometimes." RE: The Wedding - Elijah Crane - 05-15-2020 Elijah sighed and hugged Bram lightly with one arm. "I wish she could stay too. And she might act.. distant for now. It's because she is secretly hurting and doesn't want to go, but she doesn't want anyone to miss her. But she has to go, this is for her.' He was trying to ease Bram, though he had a lot of thoughts he wouldn't say before the kids. "Be supportive of Alice and let her know you love her, alright? This is very hard on her." RE: The Wedding - Abraham Ward - 05-15-2020 Bram hugged Elijah. "But I don't want her to go..." he said, suddenly very sad and near tears. "She has to. It's for the best, so we mustn't make it harder." Will said. RE: The Wedding - Elijah Crane - 05-15-2020 Elijah frowned and hugged Bram. He nodded slightly, "listen to Will. He is right. She has to, she is doing it for the entire family and not just herself. Please, be understanding and be kind to her. She is sad too as she will miss you all very much. Do not shed tears in front of her if you can. I will help you all see her again. Perhaps she will visit when her and the baby can travel to you. " RE: The Wedding - Abraham Ward - 05-15-2020 But instead of not shedding tears, Bram began to cry and wail against Elijah. RE: The Wedding - Elijah Crane - 05-15-2020 Elijah frowned more and hugged the boy as he let him cry. "I am sorry, Bram." It was all he could say. RE: The Wedding - Abraham Ward - 05-15-2020 "Everybody leaves all the time. I don't want Alice to goooo," he cried. "Stop it already. She's getting a better life in the long term." Will scolded him. RE: The Wedding - Elijah Crane - 05-15-2020 "Things change, that is something we can not stop from happening. Alice is growing up and needs to move for herself and the family she is starting. Just like your older sister, Maggie. She just has to move further away. You have Anne and Will and me. You are not alone, Bram. Please be strong for your sister, she needs you to be." Elijah glanced at Will, he didn't want to scold him again as Will was trying to help Bram understand, he was just a bit rougher like his father. "It's hard to be strong when someone is young. You have always been strong, haven't you, Will?" He smiled slightly at him as Will had been a serious child and he had worried thathe hadn't had a chance to be a boy because of their family's situation. RE: The Wedding - Abraham Ward - 05-15-2020 Bram pouted. "Aye, I do my job. Bram on t' other hand ain't helpin' anyone." Bram, however, decided he would. "I won't let 'em take her!" He suddenly shouted, and he ran back to the house, up the steps. |
