RE: Chin Up - Kitty Meijer Calamity - 07-01-2020 "How do I know the right example? I was raised by my mother a few years and my aunt and uncle for a few more. They both raised me alright but different. One told me the truth was most important but the other one taught me that fitting into society was. I think we know which I followed meself." She chuckled slightly. RE: Chin Up - Benjamin Ward - 07-05-2020 Ben didn't see how the choices she had made had anything to do with truth, but he didn't say it. "I would say truth is more important. Ye don't want yer children growin' up liars, But that doesn't stop ém from fittin' in." RE: Chin Up - Kitty Meijer Calamity - 07-05-2020 Kitty giggled, "I don't know if'n that's completely true. I mean, I suppose so as long as they hold their tongue to things they disagree with.." RE: Chin Up - Benjamin Ward - 07-05-2020 "Speakin'out doesn't necessarily mean speaking truth..." Ben pointed out. RE: Chin Up - Kitty Meijer Calamity - 07-05-2020 Kitty shrugged, 'I think one could say holdin your breath and not speakin your mind can be just as bad. Or sayin what you think someone wants ta hear to make em happy. People do that a lot.' RE: Chin Up - Benjamin Ward - 07-05-2020 "There are plenty of moments wrre ot is better to hold yer tongue. At least i wouldn't want me children blurting out whatever they think." RE: Chin Up - Kitty Meijer Calamity - 07-05-2020 Kitty nodded, "because if they didn't, they would have to lie to fit in.." RE: Chin Up - Benjamin Ward - 07-06-2020 "Well, they shouldn't lie." Ben admitted. Anne turned red. RE: Chin Up - Kitty Meijer Calamity - 07-06-2020 Kitty noticed and quickly cut in. 'Ah, but.. though we all do our best. Sometimes we do have to lie. I'm sure.. you've fibbed once or twice in your life." RE: Chin Up - Benjamin Ward - 07-06-2020 That made him uncomfortable. Especially admitting that in front of his children. "Well, sometimes, if it couldn't be helped. But it ain't good." |
