RE: What's love got to do with it? - Andrew Willaby - 12-13-2020 Andrew gave a sheepish grin and said, "Oi, sorry, mate." He laughed as she tucked her arm beneath his, then he led her away from the coconut stand. "Are ye hungry?" he asked, knowing there would be food somewhere around the place. RE: What's love got to do with it? - Rose Willaby - 12-13-2020 "Aye, I'd love sum't to eat," she said, hanging off his arm. "There's a pie stall over there. Though... you might have seen enough pies for a lifetime." she giggled. "And I will, soon enough. Say, what if we leave this place and get some fish and chips somewhere more quiet?" RE: What's love got to do with it? - Andrew Willaby - 12-13-2020 "Oi, I've seen lots o' pies." Pastries and... surprisingly few other pies... But there was no need to elaborate and the writer is giggling her fool head off. She digresses, though. "I would love ta take ye somewhere quiet." He said in agreement, then started leading them back toward his buggy. RE: What's love got to do with it? - Rose Willaby - 12-14-2020 Rose let him lead her to the buggy and she sat herself down. "I've never been to t' chippy in a carriage," she said, once again blissfully unaware of any double meanings. RE: What's love got to do with it? - Andrew Willaby - 12-15-2020 He smiled at her as he helped her up into the buggy, then he climbed in next to her and got the horse a moving. The pace he set was sedate and peaceful. "I hope ye had fun at the fair, lass. I know I did." He gave a grin before he started to hum a little ditty. RE: What's love got to do with it? - Rose Willaby - 12-15-2020 "Oh, I daresay I haven't had so much fun in years." She reached up and planted a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you." Then she leaned her head against his arm, and looked ahead at the horse, cherishing the moment of bliss. RE: What's love got to do with it? - Andrew Willaby - 12-18-2020 "I am glad ye are having fun, Rose," he murmured and grinned softly at the kiss she planted on his cheek. He truly meant it, too. "I am having fun too, lass," he added and kept the pace sedate. RE: What's love got to do with it? - Rose Willaby - 12-18-2020 Rose looked up at him when he said that and she smiled, but she did not say anything, for she did not want to disrupt the peace she was feeling. She just sat there, leaning against his arm and staring at the horse, with a satisfied smile on her face. RE: What's love got to do with it? - Andrew Willaby - 12-19-2020 He would have wrapped his arm around her, but he decided against it because of the impropriety of it. He continued to sing and the horse plodded on with rhythmic hoofbeats. By the time they made it to the fish and chips place, he drew the buggy to a halt and said, "We're here." RE: What's love got to do with it? - Rose Willaby - 12-19-2020 Rose sat listening quietly, very content indeed, and she almost resented the fact that they arrived at the fish and chips place. She was really quite hungry though, and so she hopped off. "I'm starvin'!" she said, though her merry tone hardly matched the content. |
