If the fact that a stranger opened the door wasn't shocking enough, the language was. Anne covered her mouth with her hands and looked at the man with big eyes. "Anne Ward.... Who are you? Where is Elijah?"

Anne's eyes grew wide with fear. Yet instead of running, she launched herself at the man, kicking and punching - not that she was good at fighting, but she was still a hurricane of fists and feet.

"I did not—," Anthony started off, but was rather unfortunately interrupted by the girl going absolutely beast mode on him. He managed to bear a couple of punches and kicks before deciding that was too painful and too dangerous to just wait out. This was hell. This was literally hell. He tried to kick Anne away from him.
"Jesus fucking Christ, okay, stop," he shouted.
