RE: The Cavemen - Gabriel Richards - 05-22-2020

Gabriel, entirely unaware that he was not helping the man feel better, continued: "There's children that could use an extra pair of eyes watching over them. And old people without children who could use a hand now and then. Sick people who could use some attention...."

RE: The Cavemen - Anthony Rowe - 05-22-2020

"Yeah. I know." Anthony repeated himself, a bit more forcefully than before. Though he was sure that the guy meant well, in reality it had the complete opposite effect. He would sooner just sit here alone in complete silence and go insane than have to listen to this for one more minute.

RE: The Cavemen - Gabriel Richards - 05-22-2020

"Sorry," Gabriel muttered sheepishly. And he was quiet. Which was unpleasant, for now he noticed how cold his feet were.

RE: The Cavemen - Anthony Rowe - 05-22-2020

Anthony was also quiet. Though the silence was very anxiety-inducing, he preferred it to a conversation that was even more anxiety-inducing. He just stayed silent, waiting for when this will finally be over and he can go back home.

RE: The Cavemen - Gabriel Richards - 05-22-2020

That wouldn't happen any time soon. As they sat in silence, Gabriel began to feel a little anxious himself that he might suffer hypothermia. Since speaking didn't seem like an available option, he slipped his hand into the pocket of his cassock and his hand found his rosary. He began to pray without speaking, his fingers moving over the beads in his pocket - which had to look rather disturbing to an uninformed bystander.

RE: The Cavemen - Anthony Rowe - 05-22-2020

Alas, Anthony was an uninformed bystander. He glanced towards Gabriel for a moment, quickly looked away, and then looked at him again in barely-veiled disgust. Needless to say, he didn't keep looking at him for long.

RE: The Cavemen - Gabriel Richards - 05-22-2020

Gabriel was blissfully - or regrettably - unaware of the disgust he was causing. He leaned his head back against the wall of the cave and, since they weren't talking anyway, he closed his eyes to focus on the prayer.

RE: The Cavemen - Anthony Rowe - 05-22-2020

Anthony glanced at him again for a second and immediately regretted it. He just looked at the water outside the cave, trying to pretend that he was alone in here. Could it get any worse than this?

RE: The Cavemen - Gabriel Richards - 05-22-2020

Poor Anthony. They would have to wait for a long time, and Gabriel liked to use his time well. And so while he was praying for peace and a better life for the poor, and all that beautiful stuff, he was quite unaware of the harm he was doing closeby.

RE: The Cavemen - Anthony Rowe - 05-22-2020

Anthony just started humming to himself in a failed attempt at distracting himself from this, and looked around the cave and everywhere except at Gabriel. This was a literal nightmare.
