RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-10-2020 Elijah hung his head and squeezed Anthony's hand, ignorant of what he knew and how he felt. The man closed his eyes with a small sigh and rest his head on the sofa against Anthony's body for a few minutes as he didn't know what to think or feel at that moment. RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-10-2020 Anthony eventually chose to give Elijah the benefit of the doubt, here, and just stayed silent and didn't bring up what he knew. It took a few moments until he was comfortable enough to actually relax, but it happened. His skepticism and fear hadn't just vanished, of course, he just chose to put it aside this one time. "Good night," he said, before realizing that it almost certainly wasn't night. He really could not comprehend the passage of time, right now. "or day. Whatever. I don't know." RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-10-2020 Elijah nodded and stroked his hand lightly hoping it would soothe him. "You're going to rest so it's natural to say good night. Don't worry about over thinking it, just get your needed rest." He managed to smile for him but it would take a little time before it really reached his heart. RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-10-2020 It was certainly soothing, but Anthony was still a little bit too bitter to be actually comforted by it. "Right." He didn't keep talking, still kind of afraid of saying something he'll regret, and so he just squeezed his eyes shut and tried to force himself to fall asleep. He can be bitter about everything once he's recovered. RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-10-2020 Elijah watched him hoping he would rest as his thumb continued to brush over his knuckles wanting to ease his physical pain. "I'll make you something special for dinner when you are better if you'd like." RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-10-2020 A bit of affection, no matter how much he liked it, sadly did not have the same effect as painkillers. "You don't have to." It was very tempting to say yes, but he just didn't, for some reason.Maybe it was his morals that forbid him from doing so. He didn't know. He just wanted to sleep, goddamnit. RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-10-2020 Elijah nodded and gave up trying to say anything as clearly the man was in pain and wanted to sleep. "I'll just be in the next room changing the sheets so you can rest." He was certain for some reason that Anthony was annoyed by him touch and speaking to him. RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-10-2020 "Oh. Okay." He was a little bit disappointed by that. But there was no point in begging him to stay, so he juet kept quiet and let him do what he wanted. Anthony shifted to get a bit more comfortable, and though it didn't work, he still squeezed his eyes shut and tried to force himself to sleep. RE: Business to settle - Elijah Crane - 06-11-2020 Elijah just wanted to let him rest peacefully and felt like it'd be best to keep himself busy. It really took the man almost no time to switch the bed covers and placed them aside to get them washed later. He wondered if Anthony could even fall asleep in the time it took before he returned and sat on the floor at his side. He did feel guilty even though he hadn't actually done anything, the fact his heart could feel torn was bad enough. RE: Business to settle - Anthony Rowe - 06-11-2020 Anthony tensed up a little as soon as he noticed that Elijah had returned. He knew that he was basically internally begging for him to not leave, just a few moments ago, but right now he didn't really want him here. There was no winning for either of them, here. He tried to play off his increasingly obvious discomfort as the pain acting up again. Maybe that'll get Elijah to leave him alone. Or at the least, get him show some respect to him, again. |
