If Tobias wanted Anthony to leave him alone, he shouldn't have given him anything. Anthony followed him even more attentively, and looked up at him for the entire time. This meant that they're friends now, right?

Thank goodness, the inn came into view. "Well," he said, turning to the other man. "Here we are. Thanks for showing me the way." He hadn't.

Anthony frowned a bit as soon as he realized that they'd arrived to the inn. "Oh. Right," he was a bit sad. "well, I guess now that's done with I'll just go back home.... to my cold, miserable, cramped and terrible home...." What was he even trying to manipulate Tobias into doing? He didn't know.
