Persephone smiled softly as her husband kissed the top of her head. She ran her hand tenderly along the side of his chin, her thumb tickling at his beard. "I love you," she murmured and leaned her head on his shoulder, her hand moving to hold his upon his knee.

"I love you too, Percy," he murmured. He didn't really need a night on the town to hold her close, but he would certainly not say no to it if this was the result. He wrapped an arm around her and his lips sought hers. He gave her a brief kiss and then murmured, "Have I told you yet today how beautiful you are?" He never tired of saying the words.

Persephone smiled fondly at the nickname and kissed back when his lips met hers. She blushed becomingly when he complimented her and smiled at him. "Thank you, darling," she replied sincerely. "You, of course, are so handsome." She grinned. "So, so very handsome." Peppered his cheek with kisses, her heart sighed happily.

He grinned at her reply and said, "Why thank you, my dearest." He enjoyed the way her kisses were peppered all over. It made him feel special. The carriage came to a jerking halt at some point and he reluctantly disentangled himself from her and said, "It seems we're here."
