Elijah sighed hanging his head as he kept walking on. It was even lonelier than before without the Wards around him. He felt tears dot his eyes as he walked , changing the path to go home.

That afternoon five year old Bram got out of school and spotted Elijah walking in the direction of his home. "Elijaaaaaaah!"

Elijah was startled to hear his name. He turned to the boy and smiled. "Bram! Hello. School over already?" He stopped and knelt down ready to welcome the excited child.

"Aye, luckilly! School is stupid!" He hugged Elijah.

Elijah laughed and hugged him. "Oh I suppose it can be. Did you learn anything though?" He smiled at him and ruffled his hair. "And you have any fun plans for the rest of the day now that you're free?"

"I have to go help Rose and Alice and Anne preparin' the lines for tomorrow." The boy answered. "What are you doin'?"

Elijah shrugged. "Was going to head home for a bit.. then back to market and such to make sure no one needs my help. I hope you don't work too hard." He ruffled his hair lightly.
