"Thank you, Pony," she said softly. Her chin moved to rest on his shoulder for a moment, and she gave a sigh of content. He smelled of man and sea, it was particularly intoxicating. When she pulled her face back, her eyes searched his for a long moment and then she said, "I am glad we're friends."

Pony looked at her and smiled letting his forehead rest upon hers. "Me too." He touched her hair before he moved to stand. He stretched out his hand to her. "Let's go before your parents worry. I'll see you any time you need me." If she could find him that was. The man was good at hiding when he wanted to. Being stuck in town because of his pregnant sister wouldn't change him that much.
