Pesach, more commonly known to those outwith the Jewish communities as Pete, was born in the United States into a wealthy family.
He grew up and was allowed to attend school and didn't do too bad academically but wasn't interested in school. He spent more time helping out around his families land which involved him spending time in the woodlands using hand tools and felling trees for the fires and using horses.
His family gave him the choice of going to college but he decided to join the US military and served in a cavalry regiment before an incident with a horse left him injured before being medically discharged after two years in the forces
He returned home and decided to concentrate on the horses and the forestry and was working the land for a further two years when his family decided to locate to whitby U.K
He decided that he would try his hand at forestry contracting in the UK and brought over the tackle he would need. He decided to sell off his horses as it would be cheaper to buy geldings in the UK and start with fresh horses than ship over his. |
