Mark grew up like most people in and around whitby. His father was harbour master and his mother owned a seamstress business in the town.
Mark studied hard at school and was almost top of this class and was able to stay on after the age of 14 and would go on to do an apprenticeship as a harbour master under his father's tuition.
Sadly his father wouldn't see long after the completion of his apprenticeship and would hand the reigns over to his son to run the harbour and warehousing.
Mark would also soon join the lifeboat crew and due to his sailing experience from his younger days would find himself as skipper of the lifeboat. |
