Spending most of his time outdoors working heavy labor hasn’t been very kind to his back, but it certainly keeps the sleeves of his shirts tight. With a broad chest and a tall frame, Henri can come across overbearing if no one knew his gentle nature. Though he does his best to keep a clean shave his Norman heritage leaves a shadow by mid afternoon. He wears his hair a bit too long for half of his siblings liking but ties it until one of his sisters holds him down to cut it.
‘Like His Royal Highness when he first fell in love with our Queen!’ She begs but Henri refuses. There are better things to do in the day than attempt to keep a prince like appearance.
With his days spent in the sun he keeps color on otherwise pale skin far into the winter months but despite rough hands that is all that gives his occupation away. He dresses modestly but with so many younger sisters eager to practice their new needlework he rarely has to put patches in his clothes. |

His father a woodworker and his mother a maid Henri grew up well to do enough that if his parents saved their money well enough they made it through the winter when the family business was slow. A devoted family to their faith and to each other, the Lockwood name is known for their loyalty to their community. Their furniture though it isn’t the most decorative is so well made that it is rumored to withstand the sea, and outfitted a great deal of Her Majesty’s Royal Navy’s captains quarters. However, after a rather horrid winter Henri’s father was injured repairing the roof of a neighbors’ home and hasn’t been able to fully recover.
Henri is now searching for a second job and though the Diamond Pony isn’t exactly what he had in mind, and goes against his moral code; he knows the women and men there need a protector and he will join their ranks. |
