Mehmet’s father was a Young Ottoman, and they ended up beating a hasty retreat to France because of this. While some of Mehmet’s siblings were born on French soil, he himself has never known a life outside of Britain.
His family has a painting, which his father claims has been passed down for generations. A woman in her many skirts, as decadent as could be. She bore no relation to them from the looks of it. His eldest brother claimed it looks suspiciously like their former landlord’s mistress.
Since their mother had some contacts from before the fall to grace, they shipped off to Whitby for a baronet’s summer home.
With sneezing and runny eyes, Mehmet has found the outdoor life is not for him. Fortunately, the estate he works in was keen on showing off their glasshouse, and so Mehmet primarily maintains the glasshouse garden. |
