And now he had to help. Great. "Alright. My practice is just across the bridge. I'll clean your injuries and have a look at them."

Technically, he could have referred the man on to the work house infirmary. But Tristan had a sneaking suspicion that if he did, the man would just never go. He didn't seem eager to work. Or do anything to improve his situation, for that matter.

Oh. Now he's actually going to get help. He knew that he literally had signed up for this, but he still felt a bit irritated. "Right. Lovely. Let's get to it." Anthony wasn't sure what exactly to do now, so he just stood awkwardly with his hands at his sides and waited.

Tristan began to lead the way. He hoped there were not many other injuries that the ones that he could see, and he could get this over with quickly. "So what happened?" he asked as they walked.

Anthony noticed the fellow starting to walk and ask a question, and he put out his cigarette before going to follow. Having leaned against a wall for quite a bit of time, he had forgotten that his leg was injured. When he began to walk and put all his weight onto the leg, down he went. The embarrassment hurt more than the fall.

Tristan didn't get further than a few steps. His question was answered with a thud and he spun on his heel only to see that the injured man had collapsed. "God!" That was bad! He rushed back over and knelt down on one knee. The man was conscious, thank God for that. Tristan definitely wanted to examine him now, but the question was how to get him to his practice. "Is your spine hurt?" he asked. "Any injuries on your torso?" He needed to know if he could move the man without dislocating anything or causing an internal bleeding.

Anthony tried to break the fall with his hands, but that didn't work out so well for him. So now, as if things hadn't been bad enough already, his leg was worse and everything hurt like hell. He propped himself up into a sitting position, much too scared to try and stand up again lest he repeat what just happened. "How'm I supposed to know?" Back to being snappy. He was embarrassed and kind of just wanted to die. He inhaled deeply, and winced. Ow.

Tristan ignored the snappishness, figuring the man was in a lot of pain. The fact that he was able to move and sit up suggested his spine was not injured - or at least not so much that moving him would be dangerous. Sitting on the cold ground with injuries certainly wouldn't do him any good though. "Do you think you can walk if I support you?" he asked instead.

"How am I supposed to know?" Anthony repeated once again. And then, instead of continuing to brood and snark, he actually thought about it for a few seconds. "Probably." Everything hurt and was very uncomfortable. He would like to get this over with already.

Tristan flinched, but kept his patience. "Alright," he said, trying to stay positive for both their sakes. "Let's try." He was problably too tall for this man to put an arm around his neck, so instead, Tristan slipped an arm around the man's back and under his armpit to pull him up to his feet as gently as he could. "Hold on to my shoulder," he advised.

Anthony kind of felt bad for being so snappy to a man who was helping him... but only kind of. He nodded and 'mhm'ed, and even though the man was being very gentle with him, he was still very unprepared and surprised anout this. Once he was up, he took a few moments to get used to having his feet under him again. Seemed that as long he wasn't putting his weight onto his bad leg he'd be fine-ish. "Right," he said absently as he awkwardly held onto the man's shoulder.
