Tristan could tell that the man was trying to keep a neutral face and that itself made him suspicious. But he couldn't help the man if he didn't want help. "Any pain?"

"Less of it," Anthony said. That couldn't be more of a lie. Maybe he should've just taken the medicine instead.

"That's good." Tristan said, and he stepped back. "Alright then. It should heal alright. Stay off the alcohol for now, take the rest of the medicine and all should be well. If the pain should return, come and see me." It seemed his visits would be over, and Tristan didn't mind. It wasn't like this sulky man was great company.

Oh, it worked. He hadn't expected that. What a lovely surprise, that was. "Right, then. Guess I'll do that," Anthony nodded. "thank you for all the help."

Anthony stood up and followed him to the door. Finally, this was over. Took some damn time. "Right. You too," he nodded, and once the man had stepped out of the door, closed it.
