RE: Opportunity makes a thief - Anthony Rowe - 10-01-2020

Anthony's crying was not helped at all by this new thought of him actually suffering the consequences of his actions. It really only made it worse. He had no intelligent response to give, so he just defaulted to a "I hope you die soon".

"You and a ton of other people..." Charles remarked, thoroughly unimpressed. The police station came into view.

Anthony decided not to grace this cunt with a response. At least, until he saw the police station and suddenly became much more desperate. "Let me go." He intended for it to be a demand, but he just wasn't intimidating or convincing enough for it to be anything other than a pathetic plea. "Please?"

"Absolutely not," said Charles, still dragging the smaller man along. "It's thugs like you that make life hard for hard-working people. Ever thought about the people you steal from and what trouble you place them in? Ever thought of the fact they might have children to feed?"

Anthony was even more annoyed than he was before. Just when he thought this couldn't get worse, this man started moralizing. His crying had briefly stopped because he really was just that appalled by it. "Yeah, I have," he responded to the first question. Most of them were pricks who kinda deserved it. "ever thought of the fact that I have to eat, too?" At this point, he' kind of realized that no matter how polite or nice he is or how much he cries, he won't be let go, so he just figured he'll be an asshole instead.

"If you were too poor to eat and out of work, you should have come to the workhouse," Charles said. He entered the police station. "Hello?!" he called out, because he saw nobody.

"Maybe the children who can't eat should've just done that," Anthony rolled his eyes. He  went silent as soon as they were up at the police station. The fact that nobody seemed to be there was only so calming. He was hoping that it'll stay that way, and that noone will join them.

"They wouldn't need to if you didn't take their money," said Charles. He looked around. Where was that bloody constable?

RE: Opportunity makes a thief - Anthony Rowe - 10-01-2020

"Well, maybe if they didn't have so much money, I wouldn't be trying to take it." Yet again, he lacked any sort of intelligent response whatsoever, so he simply went back to being an annoying bitch. (Though, had he ever even stopped being that?)

Charles decided to just ignore the insolent man. He waited in silence. If this was going to take long, he would have to let the thief go.
