"A wedding?" one of the women said. She looked at the others. "We were told it would be a funeral." She clicked her tongue. "Do you want the mourning or not?"

Behind him, there was a sudden movement as Tobias caught a fainting Alice.

The girls murmured amongst themselves, smiled and/or frowned sheepishly, and shuffled on out.

Benny doubled over to cover his mouth so he didn't break into laughter at the mourners. It wasn't easy and he had tears in his eyes. He wished he had thought of it himself.

Elijah stood up quickly. He walked over to see if they needed him to get a doctor. "Is everything alright. " Could her wedding go any worse ?

Tobias lifted Alice on to the pew where she could lie down. "Alice?" By the time Elijah got close, the girl was frowning, but held her eyes shut.
"Alice!" Ben too rushed over.

Benny rolled his eyes. "She is probably just stressed and tired from the baby. You can't tell me having mourners at a wedding is a little funny."

Elijah tried to look her over to see if she was alright. She was breathing but he didn't know otherwise. "I.. I'll run and get the doctor. If she wakes up.. maybe give her some water.." He turned and ran out.

Rose had been raised well. Father and mother had always instantly corrected any swearing or profanity. And she had been taught to behave at her best in church.
Yet now she lifted her hand an made an obscene gesture in Benny's direction. She didn't even care if anyone saw.
