RE: Who says times are hard? - Anthony Rowe - 03-06-2020

"Crane. The cop," Anthony explained with such a tone that implied he expected the guy to know this. Whatever. He's just gonna go home soon.

RE: Who says times are hard? - Benjamin Ward - 03-06-2020

"No ye don't." Ben said, rolling his eyes. Clearly this guy was messing with him. Elijah would have told him if he had a house mate. Anyway, he wouldn't live with a drunk. "Where d'ye live?"

RE: Who says times are hard? - Anthony Rowe - 03-06-2020

"What?" Anthony looked confused. Why would he lie about this. "But I....do live there." He started doubting himself. Wait. Maybe he just hallucinated the entire 'month long relationship and basically moving in' thing?

RE: Who says times are hard? - Benjamin Ward - 03-06-2020

Ben frowned. Why would Elijah let some jobless drunk sleep on the couch. Coming to think of it, that might actually be a reason why. Elijah had always been just a little too kind and naive. His frown deepened. "And is he the friend whose money yer wastin' on t' drink?"

RE: Who says times are hard? - Anthony Rowe - 03-06-2020

"No!" Anthony defended himself. And he was speaking the truth, for once. He drank away all his other friends' money, not Elijah's. Anthony frowned at the implication that he's that much of a dick that he'd do even that.

RE: Who says times are hard? - Benjamin Ward - 03-06-2020

Ben frowned. All of this disturbed him a good deal. If the man was speaking the truth, was he putting Elijah into contact with whatever scumbags this man was getting his money from? He was tempted to take the man to go see Elijah right away, but instead he folded his arms once more. "What other friends?"

RE: Who says times are hard? - Anthony Rowe - 03-06-2020

"Other...friends. They're just my other friends," Anthony elaborated very vaguely. Truth be told, he didn't really have any friends and those he did think to be his 'friends' were mostly just people who occasionally bought him drinks so that he would leave them alone. But Elijah wasn't one of them, so Anthony's not guilty of whatever he is being accused of.

RE: Who says times are hard? - Benjamin Ward - 03-06-2020

Aha... Was Elijah trying to save him or something? Ben had stopped being concerned for this man. He was now concerned for Elijah. "You should go home," he said once more. He would definitely talk to Elijah about this.

RE: Who says times are hard? - Anthony Rowe - 03-06-2020

Anthony frowned. Did this guy not trust that Anthony was telling the truth? "Fine," he eventually decided. "you're a dick anyways and I hate you. I don't even want to talk to you." Yet he was talking to him anyways—mostly just because he wanted the attention, no matter how negative it was.

Ben was beginning to develop a headache. He wasn't used to rude language like this - not since Simon had been arrested. "Then don't talk. Go home." He turned and began to walk again.
