Benny looked angrier than he actually was, "I am the cook. So that will be my job. Anything else?" He was hoping the kid would get the hint and leave.

Benny narrowed his brow. "He isn't looking for a cook. Besides, I have easily twice as many years as you, so u highly doubt you can make it better." Of course, Rose was close to his age and it was as if she had a tongue dead to flavor.

Benny put a hand on his hip. "We got someone to clean... Look, I just don't think you're good for the part. I can't waste his time. He is a busy man."

Benny frowned and seemed in thought. "How about a test..." He closed the door and made a shopping list before coming back to the door with the list and just enough money to pay for it. "Do this errand. If you get it right I might let you see him to ask." He figured the kid would just run off with the money.
