RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Noah Longbottom - 02-05-2020

Noah hadn't been home since he had been captured and beaten, because he felt embarrassed and didn't want to answer questions. When he saw his mother, he slid down in his chair, but stopped because it was painful. Instead, he held his glass in front of his face, to hide.

To be fair, there was now probably a higher likelihood of her noticing him. Or at least the glass.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Anthony Rowe - 02-05-2020

genuinely what the fuck is going on. Anthony definitely noticed Anita, and immediately wished he hadn't. Of course, he didn't recognize her as anything other than 'that bitch who elbowed me', but honestly, that was enough for Anthony to despise her. "Let's," Anthony nodded, turning back to Elijah and downing the contents of his glass. He feels as if he's going to puke but that's just part of the fun, really.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Anita Longbottom - 02-05-2020

True to form, Anita veered to the raised glass like a moth to fire.

Was that eyeshadow? Uneven eye shadow? She supposed she hadn't touched her makeup since the third kid, so there weren't a lot of examples to go by.

"Oh, honey," Anita said with a quivering smile. "James went through a spell of this, too."

Or was that Claude? One of the boys. Wait. Was that a bruise? Anita squinted hard, poked the purple and scowled.

"What happened to you?" she said sharply, way too sober for this.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Elijah Crane - 02-05-2020

Elijah gave a nod as he drank and kept his head down. He wanted to ignore those behind him. He sighed wanting to go home more but was really wanting to enjoy being out. He took a deeper drink and started to feel just a little dizzy.

Noah grimaced when his mother touched his eye. He slapped her gand away. "Mum, leave it
Does da even know you're here?"

Anthony is trying very hard to ignore them. It wasn't working. "Yeah, uh—maybe we should just. Go home," he suggested to Elijah, perhaps the only smart thing he's said today. Life is hell. Actually, this bar in general at this very moment was hell.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Anita Longbottom - 02-05-2020

Anita snagged the mug from him with her other hand - a motion that seemed as natural as brushing hair to her.

"Your da knows everything," she shot back, and chugged down a generous amount before shoving it back at Noah. "Who's money did you use for that beer, and WHO DID THIS TO YOU?"

There was a much wilder look in her eyes than there ever was properly drunk. She must have just woken up.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Elijah Crane - 02-05-2020

A wince as he heard the loud voice. Another reason he didn't like to drink, if there was trouble he couldn't exactly do his job drunk. He nodded to Anthony. "Yeah.. l-let's finish our drinks and slip out.." He tried hard not to look over his shoulder. Noah and Anita wouldn't have appreciated him sticking his nose in their business anyway.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Noah Longbottom - 02-05-2020

Noah let her have his drink. The fun was spoilt for him anyway. He winced when she shouted and heads turned. "Mum, piss off, okay? Its not your business." He hissed.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Anthony Rowe - 02-05-2020

Oh, this is getting incredibly uncomfortable. Anthony finished his drink as fast as humanly possible. "Yeah. Let's..." he said, quite eager to get out of here and go the fuck back home. "let's go home, then?" Anthony tapped his fingers on the bartop, ready to fuck off as fast as he could. Just when he thought that maybe they could just have a good night out.
