RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Elijah Crane - 02-05-2020

Elijah shook his head and tried to smile a little though he didn't look at him. "I'm sure.. it's manageable. There can be a lot of insufferable people in town. At least one who might be is more than charming enough it can be overlooked. "He glanced quickly at him then around to make sure no one seemed to notice their odd conversation.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Anthony Rowe - 02-05-2020

"There are certainly people much more charming, though," Anthony grinned, accepting the compliment, of course. For a brief moment he seemed to exist in a world where homophobia didn't exist, and he glanced at Elijah in mild confusion as the latter looked around, before being thrust back into reality. Oh. Yeah.

Anthony looked around as well, more to just occupy himself with something now that they weren't talking for a brief moment. He made accidental eye contact with Noah again. Fuck. After like a solid ten seconds, Anthony turned back to Elijah. He doesn't need that kid listening to them speak.

Elijah drank his beer far slower, barely taking in anything when he held it to his mouth. It was mostly for the movement now. He felt like his cheeks were pink and he wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or Anthony causing it. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He wanted to go home, especially if he could have the man next to him go along. He wanted to talk more and even hold his hand perhaps. None of that could be done there in public. Finally his head turned to him. "Do.. you want me to buy your next one?" It was an invitation. He was already getting a little drunk. If Anthony wanted to, he'd be willing to test it to prove he could handle the guy at his worst.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Noah Longbottom - 02-05-2020

Noah couldn't hear them from where he sat. It was noisy in the pub. He just watched the with a mix of confusion and amusement.

Anthony turned back to Elijah, flashing a brief smile to him. "I mean...yeah," he answered. He doesn't really necessarily want to drink as much as he wanted before, but it's with Elijah, so fuck it. God knows he'll regret this tomorrow, but who cares about tomorrow? "if you would be so kind as to." Anthony gestured vaguely with one hand, finishing what was left of his drink. This was so nice, but he felt he wanted to go home, now. So many things he wanted to do that he couldn't do in public. Pity.

Elijah smiled more and ordered him another from the bartender. "Enjoy." He looked at him happily as he took another small sip of his drink. He really wanted to go home, but would take his time. He knew Richards would be very disappointed in him, but he was happy and that was what was important at the moment.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Anthony Rowe - 02-05-2020

Anthony grinned, taking the drink with a grateful nod. "I'll drink to that," he said, and then he did, downing basically half the glass in one go. At least this time he's getting drunk as hell with Elijah and he won't be accused of anything. Plus, he's about ten times happier than he was the previous nights. Anthony has come to the conclusion that this is awesome.

RE: Suffering the Slings and Arrows - Elijah Crane - 02-05-2020

Elijah nodded and laughed lightly as he drank some more of his. Anthony's joy was infectious and he was grateful to be a part of it. He looked around the place again so that he wouldn't keep glancing over and people get suspicious of his attention on his friend. That was when he noticed Noah. His eyes widened and he immediately turned around and slumped forward, hoping he hadn't been noticed but was certain the kid was staring at him.

Anthony may have been a bit drunk at this point, but he wasn't a fool, and noticed Elijah's change in attitude. Taking another sip of his drink, he looked at the latter. "Everything alright?" he asked, trying to look where Elijah had looked earlier and—oh. Was that it? Was Noah the problem? Dipshit. He turned back to Elijah. "We can go home if something'a bothering you."

"N-no.. I..." He reached out to take his hand, but couldn't, so he let his hand drop onto the bar. "I'll be fine. I want you to enjoy your drink. It'll be fine, really.' He tried to give him a reassuring smile.
