He stared at down at her hand on his, confused. He was getting mixed signals here. "The poor far outnumber the rich. We just need to convince people that it's more worthwhile to fight for their overthrow than for a small salary." he said weakly.

"So they fight for the rich and at least gets paid for it" she replied staring up at him, hoping he would understand.

"We will convince them not to fight for the rich." Jacob said, slightly irritable. He didn't like this conversation anymore. It was like being back at university.

"Aren't your parents worried about you?" he changed the subject.

"Fathers out of town with the witc.... my stepmother" she caught herself at the least second. "And I doubt any of the house staff know I'm gone."
