Jacob grinned and watched her. "Hey, how often do I get to enjoy the company of a pretty girl, who is not above talking to me." He poured tea in two cups. "Breakfast tea."

"Why wouldn't I talk to you?" She knew perfectly well she never should have but Alex didn't really care. "Three sugars and a bit of milk if you have some please" she smiled and looked around for the sugar to help.

Hey. She might be interested in joining his revolution! Jacob added milk and sugar to their tea and then carried the cups to the fireplace and sat down in an armchair. "Well, let me see? You are a lady, and I am just a poor man, who picks up jobs here and there..." he said quite dramatically. His accent was different from the poor Whitby people, however. In fact, it wasn't from Whitby at all.

Alexandra laughed and took a seat on the couch finally. "You are not poor Jacob. No one that can spend the day sleeping on the beach not working it could be here" there was a hint of sadness in her tone.

"Where are you from?" She asked deciding to lighten the mood instead.

There was a look of surprise on his face, and then he laughed again. "You are a bright one, aren't you? Very well, I am from Birmingham. My father owns a factory there. But I am not proud of that..."

"To bright some might say" she chuckled dryly. "Are you close to your father despite the fact?" She couldn't see the problem with the families career but then she felt rude to ask.

"We're alright." Mostly because his parents didn't know what he was doing. "But I don't want to use my money to exploit the poor and keep them in their position." Didn't it sound sexy to have strong ideals? Jacob was certain he sounded quite sexy.

He was very cute at least.

Alex leant back in her seat watching him for a moment taken back. "But would you use it to help them?"

"I would change the system!" Jacob said passionately. "It's no use if wealth slowly trickles down to charity and occasional government initiatives if the systems remain the same."

She smiled and nodded. "But how are you going to change it? What steps are you taking?" She challenged while looking him in the eye, very curious now.
