Elijah frowned. "He isn't carrying around a weapon, he hasn't robbed anyone. He pick pockets, snatches stuff from stalls. These aren't dangerous crimes. Though they are still crimes." Of course, if he kept it up he could progress, especially if he ever felt desperate.

He didn't want to say it. They never mentioned him. But there were possibly lives at stake. "Simon went from simple pick-pocketing to murder over night." He muttered. Except, he realized, Simon hadn't actually pick-pocketed, but had lied he had. Or maybe he had also done that.

Elijah frowned. "That isn't the same at all. And there were far different circumstances. If I even think he is getting..into what Simon is. I'd stop it."

That made him stop walking. He looked at Elijah suspiciously. Ben had never told anyone what he had learned in the end. "What do you mean?"

Elijah looked at him confused as he paused. "What? D-didn't you.. um.. think he was robbing houses before that incident?" He immediately said, not quite answering and the nervousness very clear.

They walked on, Ben lost in his own thoughts. Whatever else Simon had been, he hadn't been a thief in the end. But that was not necessarily a good thing.
