RE: Running out of time - Elijah Crane - 01-24-2020 Elijah nodded and stood. "Sleep well, Simon. I'll see you tomorrow." He waved and went to his room. RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-24-2020 "Good night, Elijah," Simon said. He lay down, but found himself lying away reflecting on the conversation. It brought back some uncomfortable memories. Simon sat up and peered into the darkness for a long time. RE: Running out of time - Elijah Crane - 01-24-2020 Elijah went to bed, but he too had trouble sleeping due to the conversation making him frown with unease as he was reminded of things he didn't want to think about. He thought instead on being anxious about tomorrow and saying goodbye to Simon. RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-24-2020 Simon finally started pacing - in part because it was too cold to just sit around awake, in part because he hoped it would finally make him tired. Well, he was tired. RE: Running out of time - Elijah Crane - 01-24-2020 Elijah heard the pacing and went to check on him. He rubbed his eyes before covering a yawn. "Everything alright?" RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-24-2020 Simon turned when Elijah spoke. "Yeah... I'm so sorry for waking you, again. I'm afraid you'll have no sleep with me in t' house." RE: Running out of time - Elijah Crane - 01-24-2020 Elijah shook his head and approached him. "Then I don't sleep. If it's difficult, I can get dressed and we take a walk? Maybe the cold air will help you feel refreshed and relaxed." He would have asked to talk it out but clearly that wasn't what Simon seemed to want. RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-24-2020 Simon was desperate for fresh air, and for exercise all the more, but he looked at Elijah hesitantly. "If it won't drive all the sleep out of ye..." RE: Running out of time - Elijah Crane - 01-24-2020 Elijah shook his head and went to dress as he spoke up for him to hear. "It'll be fine. If it drives out the sleep, it was by my choice since I knew the risk. You're worth a little lost sleep, Simon." RE: Running out of time - Jack - 01-24-2020 Was it very wrong to feel the need to give him a hug? Either way, he didn't. He had embarrassed himself in front of Elijah once, and he wasn't willing to do it again. "Thanks, Elijah." He said instead, and he put on his jacket and shoes and stepped outside. It was cold outside and he put his hands in his pockets to shield them. |
