RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Anthony Rowe - 05-13-2020 Yet again, he was very relieved at Ben just giving up. It was kind of a hollow victory, though. Anthony put his arms around his knees to try and ward off the cold, and leaned towards the very cold wall. Okay, maybe sleeping right here wasn't the wisest of choices, but he didn't really have much of a choice anyways. "It's cold." He stated the obvious yet again. RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Benjamin Ward - 05-13-2020 "I know." said Ben. "Which is why I've been trying to get out of here." RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Anthony Rowe - 05-13-2020 "We'll get out soon enough," Anthony said, in a perhaps surprisingly non-aggressive tone. "before morning comes, ideally, but by morning at the latest." RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Benjamin Ward - 05-13-2020 "I have to work in the mornin' and me kids are waiting for me." Ben said. He got up and started pacing, although slowly. RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Anthony Rowe - 05-13-2020 "I think that this one night that you're absent won't ruin anything," he shrugged. "maybe I'm just being a bit too optimistic. I don't know." RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Benjamin Ward - 05-13-2020 "They'll be worried," said Ben. "And I'd prefer not to freeze to death here." RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Anthony Rowe - 05-13-2020 "I mean, it's pretty cold but I don't think you'll freeze to death," Anthony said. "and, like... it'll be all fine when you do finally get back, right? They'll be happy and won't be worried or anything anymore." At least, that's what he assumed would happen. RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Benjamin Ward - 05-13-2020 "I'm worried they'll stay up all night or roam the streets, searchin'. It ain't safe." It didn't help Ben to talk about it. He only grew more concerned and restless and started banging on the door once more. RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Anthony Rowe - 05-13-2020 "It'll probably be fine. People don't really get stabbed or robbed in the streets at night, anymore," Anthony tried to reassure him with those facts. "at least, I haven't heard of that happening in some time." RE: A Really Lousy Day in the Universe - Benjamin Ward - 05-13-2020 "Anne is fifteen, and I don't want any men harrassin' her." He really began to be worried now and went back to pacing, as if that could somehow keep his children safe. |
